Abstract:
Promoting the development of agricultural products processing industry has become a key link in the process of promoting agricultural modernization in China. In this paper, Malmquist productivity index method is used to measure the TFP of 12 sub-industries of agricultural processing industry in Shandong Province from 2009 to 2017, and the results show that technological progress is the main reason for the GROWTH of TFP. Further study on the influencing factors shows that industrial agglomeration level, enterprise size and foreign investment can promote the improvement of total factor productivity of agricultural processing industry, while r&d investment level has a restraining effect on TFP, but industrial agglomeration level has no significant effect on TFP. In general, industrial agglomeration level, enterprise size, R&D investment level and foreign investment have no obvious effect on technological progress and technological efficiency. Therefore, in order to promote the development of agricultural products processing industry, we should promote the development of industrial cluster, expand the scale of enterprises, rational use of foreign capital, increase the investment in enterprise RESEARCH and development, so as to improve the TFP of agricultural products processing industry.
